Alice Gertrude Knutson, 99, of Harlow, ND passed away Thursday, March 17, 2022 at St. Alexius Health Hospital in Devils Lake, ND.  Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM Monday, March 21, 2022 at Leeds Lutheran Church in Leeds, ND with visitation beginning one hour prior to the service.  Burial will take place at Our Savior's Lutheran Cemetery in rural Harlow.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to: Our Savior's Lutheran Cemetery 4915 50 ^th Avenue NE Maddock, ND 58348.  Casket Bearers are Jerod Nathan, Joy Aldridge, Natalie Aldridge, Rowlan Greaves, Regan Ribaul, Josh Knutson, Alisha Ebertz and Trevor Knutson.

Alice Gertrude Bratvold was born June 21, 1922, at Baker, ND, to Emil and Agnes (Engen) Bratvold.  When she was young, the family moved to Harlow and owned the Harlow Cash Store.  She attended grade school in Harlow and graduated from the Benson County Agricultural and Training School in Maddock.

Alice married Bernard Knutson at Fillmore, ND on November 9, 1941.  To this union, five children were born: sons, Loren, Brian and Dean; daughters, Diane and Gail.

Alice was a farmer's wife.  Her life revolved around her husband, family and Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Harlow.  Alice was a long-time member of the church in Harlow where she served as the church organist and was an active member of the Ladies Aid.  She enjoyed her family, quilting, embroidering, gardening, going to auction sales and collecting antiques.

Alice is survived by her five children; sons, Loren (Jackie) of Leeds, Brian (Pam) of Harlow and Dean (Lori) of Maddock; daughters, Diane (Ed) of Tuscaloosa, AL and Gail (Wayne) of Rapid City, SD; seven grandchildren, Fara Nathan of Hillsboro, ND, Joy Allen of Butler, AL, Rowlan Greaves of Fulshear, TX, Regan Ribaul of Flower Mound, TX, Josh and Trevor Knutson of Fargo, ND and Alisha Ebertz of Devils Lake, ND; twelve great-grandchildren; one sister, Clarice Francis of Simi Valley, CA and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Knutson; her parents, Emil and Agnes Bratvold; her brothers, Elmer and Orlyn Bratvold; her sisters, Erliss "Annie" Schmid and Opal Groff; and her granddaughter, Angela Allen Babb.
