Andrew Pranke, 20, of Maddock passed away Sunday, July 6, 2014.
Andrew was born April 11, 1994, in Rugby, ND, to Kent and Laurie (Dempsey) Pranke. He grew up on the family farm south of Maddock. He attended school in Maddock where he participated in the choir, and played football where he received All Region and was one of the Captains for the team. Andrew was active in the A.S. Gibbens FFA for 7 years where he earned his Greenhand degree, Chapter degree, Maddock Star Chapter Farmer, State FFA Degree, a ND State Star Farmer Finalist, and a ND State Diversified Crop Production Proficiency Finalist. Andrew graduated in the class of 2013. Andrew had been active on the family farm since he could walk along side his dad and continued to farm with his father. He took over the roles and responsibilities of the farm after his father passed away in April of 2012. Andrew was an avid hunter, enjoyed golfing with family and friends, spending time and spoiling his nieces and nephew, and snowmobiling. Andrew also loved his church, Viking Lutheran where he was baptized and confirmed.
Andrew is survived by his mother, Laurie Pranke of Devils Lake, ND, sisters: Amanda (Brandon) Schwartzbauer of Bismarck, ND; and Kaia (Scott) Boyle of Minot, ND, nieces Brooklyn Marie and Berklie Rhyan Schwartzbauer and nephew Cash Kent Boyle, grandparents Ken and Mona Dempsey, Aunt and Uncle Todd and Nadley Buehler along with cousins Elisa, Beau, Breana and Hunter; Aunt and Uncle Brian and Lisa Dempsey along with cousins Kris and Jessica; Aunt and Uncle Connie and Paul Backen along with cousins Joel and Eric Pier and Scott Backen; Aunt Pat Pranke along with cousins Steven and Peter; Aunt Kris Pranke and many extended family members and friends.
Andrew was preceded in death by his father, Kent on April 30, 2012, his grandfather Rolf Berg on December 18, 2010, grandmother Helen Berg on September 29, 2013, and Uncle Steve "Butch" Pranke on December 6, 2011.
