Ardis Jeanette Randle, 92, of Baker, ND passed away Sunday, April 2, 2023 at Kinder Care Assisted Living in West Fargo, ND. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, April 10, 2023 at Leeds Lutheran Church in Leeds, ND with Pastor Connie Monson officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM prior to the service. Burial will be at St. Petri Lutheran Cemetery at a later time. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Special Olympics North Dakota: 2616 26 th Street Grand Forks, ND 58201 or St. Petri Lutheran Cemetery Fund: P.O. Box 217 Leeds, ND 58346. Ardis Jeanette was born March 24, 1931 to John and Selma (Muri) Broe on the family farm in rural Baker, ND. She was raised and educated in Baker in her early years and graduated from Rugby High School in 1949. Ardis was united in marriage to Elvin A. Randle on June 3, 1951 at St. Petri Lutheran Church in rural York, ND.
Ardis and Elvin owned the Baker Trading Post and she began operations in 1951. Ardis worked until her health forced her into retirement in 2016. Elvin passed away December 3, 2014. Ardis was an active member at St. Petri Lutheran Church before its closure and participated with the Ladies Aid circle.
Ardis was a fantastic baker and cook, selling her doughnuts and fresh buns throughout the years. She enjoyed playing Bingo, fishing, visiting neighbors and attending musicals. Ardis' favorite past time was spent attending her grandchildren and great-grandchildren's sporting events. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Ardis is survived by her children, Peggy (Fred) Brager of West Fargo, ND, Wayne (Diane) Randle of Maddock, ND and Marc Randle of Maddock, ND; grandchildren, Kristine Lunde, Kathy (Jeremy) Nelson, Kimberly (Nick) Whitehead, Kenzie Randle, Bryan (Wanda) Randle, Kevin Brager and Dustin Kjosa; great-grandchildren, Addyson Lunde, Wyatt Nelson, Walker Nelson, Logan Whitehead, Madison Whitehead, Carson Stensland and Jordan Robertson; sisters, Bonnie Gruhl and Shirley Tangen; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elvin A. Randle; infant son, Dale; daughter, Sharlene (Robert) Kjosa; brothers, Palmer (Iverne) Broe, Harlynd (Arlene) Broe and Gerald (Delores) Broe; brother-in-laws, Obe Tangen and Jack Gruhl.
