Beverly A. Anderson, 76, of York, ND, died Sunday, January 30, 2011 at Trinity Hospital in Minot.  Funeral services will be Friday,  February 4th, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Leeds Lutheran Church with Pastor Richard Budd officiating.  Interment will be in the West Minnewaukan Free Cemetery, rural Maddock.  Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 7pm with a 7pm Prayer Service at the Nelson Funeral Home in Leeds.  Casket bearers will be:  Allen Bonn,  Tommy Gerald,  Kenny Hall,  Larry Hall,  Curt Jacobson,  Danny Jacobson and Arden Warner.  Honorary bearers will be all of her nieces and nephews.  Music for the service will be from Nancy Silliman and Pam Hall, vocalists with Dan Nybo, organist.

Bev was born December, 28, 1934 on the family farm near Mylo, ND to Albert and Helen (Knudsvig) Bonn.  She was baptized and confirmed at Mylo Lutheran Church.   She grew up on the family farm near Mylo, attended Pleasant Valley #4, and Bisbee High School and worked as a nurse's aide in the Rugby Hospital.  She was united in marriage with Victor Anderson on June 4th, 1954.  They made their home on the family farm near York, ND.  She was a member of the York Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday school for numerous years and was a member of the York Ladies Aid.   In 2000 she was chosen Durum Triangle Farm Woman of the Year.

Her loving family includes her husband of 56 years, Victor and son, Steven and wife, Kim, and grandchildren Brooke and Cole Anderson of York; two sisters, Frances Lang of Grand Forks and Donna Gerald of Bisbee; three brothers: Philip (Jean) Bonn of Rolla, Kenny Bonn of Minnewaukan, and Richard (Carol) Bonn of Mylo; sisters-in-law: Ann Bonn of Wahpeton and Sara Henderson of Penn; and many nieces, nephews and Godchildren.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Albert, Jr. and Paul.

Bev was loved as a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and Godmother.  She was a humble woman who helped and cared for everyone she met.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and especially her grandchildren.  She will be missed by all.

Bev was the best godmother, ever.  Prominent in my early memories are visits to see Bev and Vic, and I can hear Bev's distinctive voice, chatting with my parents.  My brothers and I loved visiting, in part because Vic and Bev were willing to let us city kids (Grand Forks) run and enjoy the space, the animals, and most of all, the hospitality and kindness.  Bev always, always, always seemed to be smiling.  Her smiles even came through the cards and letters we exchanged as we aged, even when the exchanges dropped to an annual Christmas letter. She was a treasure, and she will be missed so much.  My sympathies to you all.   Susan Berg
