Bonita "Bonnie" J. Reierson, 80, of Rugby, ND, formerly of Esmond, ND, died Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at Trinity Medical Center in Minot. Funeral Services will be Sunday, May 4th, 2:00 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Esmond, with Pastor Harold Ovre officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, at the church an hour before service. Casket bearers will be: David Reierson, Devin Reierson, Derek Reierson, Chuck Keller, Lance Hawkins and Joe Griffith. Music will be from Pastor Harold Ovre with Margaret Toso, organist.
Bonita "Bonnie" J. Reierson was born in Esmond, ND on January 6, 1934 to Baldwin and Lena (Hammer) Reierson. She attended school in Esmond and Baker, graduating from Baker High School in 1952. Bonnie was employed as a waitress for a time at the Coffee Shop Café in Rugby prior to working for Northwestern Bell Telephone as an operator in Rugby, Minot, Denver and Minneapolis. She retired from Bell Telephone in 1991 and continued to live in Minneapolis. Bonnie moved to Rugby in 2007 and resided at the Halland Manor until November 2013 when she became a resident of the Heart of America Long Term Care in Rugby.
Surviving are 4 brothers: Melford (Bonnie) Reierson of Minot, Gene (Janice) Reierson of Esmond, Butch (Nettie) Reierson of Baker and Dan (Bernice) Reierson of Minot; a number of nieces and nephews. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Ron in 2008.
