Charles "Chuck" Beason, age 97, of Maddock, ND, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at the Good Samaritan Society in Lakota, ND. He lived a long life defined by service, resilience, deep love for his family, and a quiet kindness that left a lasting impact on those who knew him.  Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, May 8, 2026 at the Zion Lutheran Brethren Church in Maddock with Pastor Luther 'Lu' Mathison officiating.  Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial will be at the Zion Cemetery in Maddock. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Zion Cemetery Fund: 3556 52nd Avenue NE Maddock, ND 58348 or to the Kem Shriners Hospital for Children: 1429 3rd Street North Fargo, ND 58102.

Chuck was born on January 16, 1929, and grew up in a coal mining family in Kentucky during a time that required grit, perseverance, and strength. Those early years shaped his hardworking nature and steady, determined spirit.

As a young man, Chuck left home and joined the United States Air Force in 1948. He proudly served his country, including time in Korea in 1951. Around 1950, he met the love of his life, Ruth. Their bond endured distance and the challenges of military life, and after his return home in the summer of 1952, they were united in marriage on October 5, 1952.

Together, Chuck and Ruth shared 72 years of marriage, building a life rooted in love, loyalty, and unwavering commitment. They welcomed their daughter, Linda, in September 1953. Military life took them across the world, from Japan in 1954 to Tule, Greenland in 1960, Rome, New York from 1960 to 1966, and Denver (Aurora), Colorado beginning in 1966.

After retiring from the Air Force in 1968, Chuck continued his strong work ethic by opening an Enco service station (later Exxon), where he became known for his reliability and dedication. In 1985, Chuck and Ruth completed their move to Maddock, North Dakota, where they began retirement and made their home.

Chuck was a man of many talents and interests. From computers to racing cars, he was always learning, building, and exploring. He found joy in simple things, especially his coffee and a cold root beer. Though he could sometimes be misunderstood, those who truly knew him saw a deeply loving and kind man who would help anyone he could without hesitation.

Above all, Chuck was a man of faith who loved Jesus. His life reflected quiet devotion, humility, and a steady belief that carried him through every season of life.

Chuck's life was a testament to perseverance, love, and quiet strength.

Chuck is now reunited in peace with his beloved wife, Ruth Beason, with whom he shared a lifetime of love. And now, after a lifetime of devotion, his love story continues, at last, reunited with Ruth, where hearts once separated are together again, and a lifetime of love has found its perfect peace.

He is survived by his daughter, Linda Sue Ruth Bailey, her husband Robert Bailey; grandchildren Kristopher (Kattie) Bailey and Dakotah (Jasmine) Bailey; great-grandchildren June, Grace, Xander and Tristan.
