Dale Lee Schwanke, 73, of Leeds, ND, passed Monday, October 26, 2020, at CHI St. Alexius Health in Devils Lake, ND. A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Leeds Ambulance Service 130 1 ^st Avenue NE, Leeds, ND 58346.

Dale was born on November 23, 1946 in Mankato, MN. He attended school in Monticello, MN and graduated in 1964. Dale joined the United States Navy in 1964 during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged in 1968. He was a life-long truck driver, working for various companies. Dale retired in 2014 and moved to Leeds.

Dale is survived by his siblings, Sherry Oehler of Anna Maria Island, FL, Debra (Rick) Follman of Devils Lake, ND, Donna Strand of Leeds, ND, Diane Pherson of Forman, ND, Doyle (Kathy) Schwanke of Maddock, ND and David (Deanna) Schwanke of Leeds, ND; numerous nieces and nephews; special friend, Jennifer Fischer.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Ervin and Lorraine Schwanke, Sarah and Fred Oehler; brothers-in-law, Mike Strand and Lenny Pherson.
