Daniel Casmier Hoffert, a master of building and mechanicals, died Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at the St. Aloisius Medical Center in Harvey, ND. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 7:00PM Thursday, December 3, 2015 at the St. Boniface Catholic Church in Esmond, ND with Fr. Brian Backmeier officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00PM before the service at the church. Alzheimer's disease does not discriminate even for a brilliant mind such as Daniel's.

Daniel was raised on the family farm located northwest of Esmond, ND with his parents and older brother Salvinus. He headed east to Wisconsin where he started a family, later moving to Langdon, ND to work on the missile base. His life took another turn when his father died and he returned with his young family to the family farm. He was most proud of joining the Millwright & Machine Erectors, Locale 548 where he finished his career traveling to various cities to work on industrial turbine projects.

Daniel is survived by his six children: Saniel Hoffert, Rhonda Burnett, Danielle Whipple, Coreen McNulty, Doreen Dick, Jake Hoffert and two step-children Julie Aragon and Buddy Archer along with numerous grandchildren and brother Salvinus and family.
