David Hobden, 53, of Leeds, ND, died Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at Heart of America Medical Center in Rugby.

Services will be held on Friday, March 28, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Lebanon Lutheran Church of Leeds, ND.

Dave was a great brother who was amazingly calm through all sets of circumstances, and I've tried to incorporate his calm outlook in my own life.  He also had great perseverance in all that he did.  I love and will miss him greatly.  Jon Hobden

I have known the Hobden Family and David for many years and am in shock over this news.  Having grown up with Dave and his siblings, sat at the bus stop, vacationed together, the family camp in NH and much more I know we have lost a person of quality, from a quality family. Heck the Hobdens are family.  Dave was a kind person, mellow and a great individual.  We have the same birthday, and many times were at camp on the special day to celebrate together.  While I have seen his family recently, I regret not to have had our paths cross in recent years.  I know if it did, there would have been no awkwardness, just resuming where we left off.  That's the beauty of it, and David.  ...Mike Desormeaux

I remember David growing up as a kid.  Our families are very close.  I will never forget the times in New Hampshire, at camp fishing on the Ossipee River.  My prayers are with the entire Hobden Family. Neil Desormeaux
