Della Mae Stevenson, 88, of Rugby, ND and formerly of Leeds, ND and Wolford, ND passed away on May 15, 2019 in Rugby, ND under the care of hospice. Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at the Leeds Lutheran Church in Leeds, ND with Pastor Sharon Baker officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place at the Leeds Lutheran Cemetery. Music will be provided by Dan Nybo. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Rugby Cancer Center or Hospice: 800 South Main Avenue Rugby, ND 58368.
Della Mae was born February 5, 1931 to Mose and Edna (Stoll) Yoder in Wolford, ND where she attended school. She then worked for many years at the Home Café and the Palace Café in Leeds, ND. Della was married to Ronald Humble until his death on July 3, 1969.
Della was united in marriage to Boyd Stevenson on April 16, 1971 in Leeds. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her door was always open to visitors as she loved to have company. Della also enjoyed gardening, crocheting, bowling and traveling. Della was a member of the Leeds Lutheran Church, the First Lutheran Church in Rugby and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Della is survived by her husband of 48 years, Boyd Stevenson; children, Scott (Lynda) of Cavalier, ND, Don (Ellen) of Mandan, ND and Jack (Trudy) of Bismarck, ND; step-children, Steven (Linda) of Devils Lake, ND, Scott (Becky) of Henderson, NV, Sidney (Paulette) of Maple Grove, MN, Sandy (Kathy) of Dakota Dunes, SD and Sheila of Knoxville, TN; 6 grandchildren, Jennifer, Jeffrey, Kim, Jack, Jessica and Jenny; 11 great-grandchildren, Jack, Maia, Jaxson, Ryer, Aryana, Austin, Alec, Ashton, Cole, Connor and Carter; several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Edwin of Rugby, ND and Don (Ruth) of Harvey, ND; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mose and Edna Yoder; step-fathers, Rusell Showers and Jim Lunde; first husband, Ronald Humble; infant sons Kim Humble and Kim Stevenson; stepson, Spencer Stevenson; sisters, Shirley, Goldie and Sharon; sister-in-law, Marla.
