DeLores M. Solway, 78, of Esmond, ND, died Wednesday September 7, 2011 at Hatton Prairie Village in Hatton, ND. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, September 10th, 2011, 1:00 PM at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Esmond with a Rosary at 12:30pm. Co-celebrating the mass will be MSGR Joseph Senger and Fr. Brian Bachmeier. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Casket bearers will be her sons and honorary bearers will be members of the St. Boniface Confraternity of Christian Mothers and the Esmond VFW Auxiliary. Music will be from Terri Jacobson, Kenny Streifel, the St. Boniface Choir and Helen Arnold. Visitation will be at the church an hour before the rosary and mass.
DeLores Marie Solway was born July 21, 1933 at Fargo, ND, to Katherine Bertsch. She was raised and lived in Orrin, ND with her parents, George and Katryn (Brendel) Bertsch until her marriage to Jack Solway on June 18, 1951. To his union 12 children were born.
DeLores is survived by eleven of her children: Jackie (Larry) Buchwitz and Kathleen (Donald) Cranston all of Hatton, Jeffery (Cindy) Solway of Williston, Deb (Chris) Hager of Woodbury, MN, Rebecca (Scott) Reierson of Devils Lake, Jack Solway & special friend, Janet, of Williston, Keith Solway of Maplewood, MN, Mark (Angie) Solway of Elk River, MN, Kelly (Jan) Solway of Devils Lake, Scott (Steph) Solway of Rush City, MN, Rory (Lisa) Solway of Maplewood, MN; daughter-in-law: Barb Solway of Grand Forks; 28 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
DeLores was preceded in death by her mother; parents; husband: Jack; a son: Greg; 3 sisters and 2 brothers.
