Delores Dahlstrom Walters, 91, of Bismarck, ND formerly of rural Maddock, ND passed away Monday, November 2, 2020 at Missouri Slope Long Term Care in Bismarck. A visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM Thursday, November 12, 2020 at the Nelson Funeral Home in Maddock. Burial will be at Klara Lutheran Cemetery in rural Heimdal, ND.

Delores was born on her parent's farm, Anton and Julia (Fryer) Fossen, on June 8, 1929 and lived there until 1960. She was united in marriage to Carl Bernard Dahlstrom on June 5, 1960 in the Fairview Lutheran Church in rural Maddock. Delores and Bernard moved to the Dahlstrom farm in October 1961. The couple welcomed a daughter, Carla Dee, in 1961. Carla's life was taken in 1965 due to a farming accident. Delores was pregnant with another daughter, Mary Ann, at the time of Carla's passing and due to complications lost three weeks later.

Delores loved to travel and took many trips in 1979. She went on a tour of Jerusalem Rome to the holy land and also took a couple trips to Hawaii. Delores lived in Arizona from many years where she enjoyed volunteer work. She also volunteered in Jamestown and Bismarck. Her favorite past time was spent sewing and making many beautiful quilts and Afghans.

Delores is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Carl Bernard Dahlstrom (1970) and Herman Walters (2002); daughters, Carla Dee (1965) and Mary Ann (1965); parents, Anton and Julia Fossen; and her four sisters, Judy, Irene, Clara and Lenora.
