He married Velma Stevens on June 19, 1935 and she remained his bride for 68 faithful years. They farmed together on the Maddock family farm for 60 years. He and Velma retired to Bismarck, ND where they enjoyed their retirement years with their daughters and grandchildren.
Don was a devout Christian, wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He was an active lifelong member of the Hesper/Bethany Evangelical Free Church. He was a member of the Gideon Organization for over 40 years which he actively served in Bible distribution to school children, nursing students, hotels, hospitals and jails which brought him much joy.
Don will always be remembered by his children and grandchildren for the fun they shared camping, cycling, rides on the tractor, and playing softball and croquet on warm summer evenings after the chores were done. His stead fast devotion to God and family will be a lasting legacy in all of our lives.

Condolences:
My condolences go out to the family of Grandpa Breuer. His warm personality and welcoming smile will be missed by many. I will always remember him scooting around in his motorcycle on a nice warm morning headed to McDonalds for his apple pies. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family during this tough time. With Love, The Fergels
