Obituary

Donna S. Hagen, 64, of Mandan, ND, formerly of Maddock, ND,  died Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at the Mandan Living Center under the care of Med Center One Home Health and Hospice.  Memorial services will be Sunday, March 6, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Viking Lutheran Church, rural Maddock, ND with Pastor Allen Campbell officiating.  Burial will be later in the spring in the church cemetery.  Music will be from Joann Bergrud, soloist with Paul Duren, organist.

Donna Sharon Hagen was born to Melvin and Hazel (Lynne) Hagen on March 13, 1946 at Maddock, ND.  She was raised in the Maddock area, attended grade school in Flora and Maddock and high school at the Benson County Agricultural and Training School in Maddock.  Donna was once married to Charles R. Ehnert.  In 1976, Donna and her sons moved to Maddock where she was employed at various places.  She attended the Lake Region State College in Devils Lake in the fall of 1985 and spring of 1986.  Donna was employed at The Computer Store and as a secretary for bookkeeping service in Devils Lake for a time.  In 1989, she moved to Longview, WA and was employed at the Weyerhauser Company.  Donna moved to Mandan in 1996 and was employed in the accounting department of the Bismarck Public Schools until her death.

Donna was baptized, confirmed and a longtime member of the Viking Lutheran Church, rural Maddock.  She enjoyed her yard, flower garden and her dog.  Above all, she loved spending time with her sons and grandchildren.

Surviving are 3 sons:  Craig (Heidi) Ehnert of Puyallup, WA,  Michael (Jillain) Ehnert of Horace, ND and Scott (Erica) Ehnert of North Bend, WA;  2 grandchildren:  Elisabeth and Colin Ehnert;  2 sisters:  Lyla Hagen of Bismarck and Helene (Dennis) Fossum of Cooperstown, ND;  2 brothers:  Lee (Willie Mae) Hagen of San Antonio, TX and Daniel Hagen of M    addock; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Lyle, and a niece, Sharon Fossum.
