Edna Tandberg, 94, of Baton Rouge, LA, formerly of Leeds, ND, died Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at a nursing home in Baton Rouge.  Funeral Services will be Wednesday, March 21, 2012,  2:00 PM at Leeds Lutheran Church with Pastor Richard Budd officiating.  Burial will be in the Leeds Lutheran Cemetery.  Music will be from:  MiChelle Nybo, soloist and Dan Nybo, organist.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 7pm at the Nelson Funeral Home in Leeds.

Edna was born March 14, 1918 the daughter of Emil and Christina Lunde.  She attended school in Leeds and graduated from high school in Baker, ND.  As a housewife and mother, she was particularly skilled in sewing and crocheting, and loved to decorate for every holiday possible.  Many will remember her attendance at various bingo games throughout the area.  Her last years were spent in Baton Rouge where she lived at Whealdon Estates and Heritage House.

She is survived by her only child and son-in-law, Gerilyn Tandberg and Maurice Berger, and several nieces and nephews including: Elaine Peterick and Jill Quale of Minnesota, Gwen Bell of Arkansas, James Lunde of Washington and Roger Lunde of New York.

Edna is preceded in death by her husband, Otto Tandberg; parents, Emil and Christina Lunde; four brothers, Clifford, Edward, Jalmar, and Alvin Lunde; and one sister, Gladys Erickson.

Dear Gerilyn-

Although I haven't lived in Leeds for years, I still get the Benson County Press and when I saw your Mom's obituary, I just wanted to send you a note.  Your Mom was such a positive happy woman she was a joy to be with.  I still have the "old-fashioned" dress that she made for me for the Diamond Jubilee in Leeds.  I always think of her when I look at it or my granddaughters want to wear it.
