Elizabeth LaCroix Lohnes, "Ehake na Win" "The Last One, Woman", 86, of Devils Lake, ND and formerly of St. Michaels, ND, journeyed to the spirit world on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at her home in Devils Lake. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, April 11, 2019 at St. Michael Catholic Church in St. Michael, ND with Fr. Paul Schuster celebrating mass. Burial will take place at the St. Michael Catholic Cemetery. Casket Bearers will be Elizabeth's grandchildren: Jesse, Christopher, Daniel, Nicholas, Alexander, Harley, Shane and Stanley. Honorary Casket Bearers will be all of Elizabeth's nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to: Alzheimer's Association 2631 12 Avenue South Fargo, ND 58103.

Elizabeth LaCroix (Lohnes) was born May 7, 1932 to Aaron and Florence (Morin) Lohnes in Fort Totten, ND. She attended grade school in St. Michaels and graduated from Stephan Indian School. Elizabeth moved to the Twin Cities where she worked at the Bureau of Engraving in northeast Minneapolis. She continued on as a hotel switch board operator for the Radisson Hotel in downtown Minneapolis, where she retired.

In her younger years, Elizabeth enjoyed riding horses and picking berries. She often reminisced about spending good times with all her brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. Elizabeth later enjoyed being in the country and taking long walks along the road. Laughing and visiting with her children and grandchildren was cherished. Amongst her favorites was the love for music, mostly Elvis Presley, and her sweets, always eating her desserts first. Elizabeth was always loved and will be forever missed.

Elizabeth is survived by her children, Scott (Marsha) LaCroix, Antionette LaCroix, Yvonne LaCroix (Patrick Murphy), Alvin LaCroix Jr. (Tina Richards) and Yvette LaCroix (Lethan Armartey); grandchildren, Jesse Cameron, Christopher LaCroix, Daniel LaCroix, Nicholas LaCroix, Alexander LaCroix, Harley LaCroix, Charisse LaCroix, Samantha Silker, Shane LaCroix, Sommer MacConnell and Stanley Holman; great-grandchildren, Brooke Lynn, Nathan, Juliette Monet, Chanse, Araya Hope, Haydyn, Landyn, Killian, Irelyn Elaine, Joei Lynn, Glode and Lamara LeMere; numerous nieces and nephews.

Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents, Aaron and Florence (Morin) Lohnes; brothers, Edward, Eugene, Roger, Paul and David; sisters, Margaret, Marion, Lily and Theresa; grandchild, Robert (Lil' Bobby) Hughes.
