Ervin Flaten's Obituary
Ervin Flaten was born May 10, 1930, in Benson County, near Maddock, ND to Peter and Helen (Christianson) Flaten. Since his early childhood, he made his home with his aunt and uncle, Gina and Adolph Flaten. Ervin received his elementary education at the Eldon Township School. In later years, Ervin moved to Jamestown, ND and lived at the Gardenette Senior Housing. Due to his failing health, Ervin moved to the Rose Care Center at LaMoure in December of 2009.
Ervin's interests in life were gardening and repairing old radios.
Surviving are a sister: Ruth Morkve of Maddock, ND; nieces: Mary Abrahamson and Sandy Abrahamson; nephews: Noel Morkve of Minnepolis, MN and Ron Morkve of Maddock and an uncle: Orville Christianson of Devils Lake.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother: Calvin Flaten; a sister: Bernice Abrahamson; and an aunt and uncle: Gina and Adolph Flaten.

Just saw the passing of Ervin. I hope I can make it to the service. So many good memories of the Flatens. Had many cups of coffee with them and of course cookies too! Garry Thompson
