Faith Ann Rehling, 55, of Maddock, ND, passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at the Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 PM Monday, June 11, 2018 at the North Viking Lutheran Church in Maddock, ND with Pastor Allen Campbell officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM with 7:00 PM Prayer Service on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at the Nelson Funeral Home in Maddock.  Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial will take place at the North Viking Lutheran Cemetery in Maddock, ND.  Music will be provided by Rachel Markestad. Casket Bearers will be John Hoberg, Paul Hoberg, Brian Holm, Steve Holm, Mark Holm and John Holm.

Faith Ann, daughter of Erling and Sandra (Hoberg) Karlsbraaten, was born August 21, 1962 in Fargo, ND. Faith attended all 12 years of school at the Maddock Public School. She was active in choir, band, FHA and cheerleading while in high school and graduated in 1980. She spent a year in Bismarck attending college, receiving a diploma in Merchandising.  Faith was united in marriage to Joseph Rehling on June 27, 1981 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Esmond, ND.  Together they raised three daughters: Ashley Kay, Danielle Lee and Gabrielle Anne.  The Rehlings are members of the North Viking Church where Faith taught Sunday school and served on the ladies WELCA.

Faith was heavily involved with local organizations in her community, including, sports and music boosters, 4-H club, active woman's group, the centennial musical and bowling league. She was an avid historian and love to have conversations about family history, WWI, WWII and the Civil War. Faith was also fascinated with the British Royal family, the Titanic, the Kennedy's and Betty Davis.  In her spare time, Faith enjoyed crocheting afghan blankets and doylies, reading, gardening, watching Fox News and especially tending to her flowers.

Faith was employed at various jobs during her life, including, a receptionist at Wang attorney's office, Leeds Pasta Plant, bowling alley, road construction, the Maddock Memorial Home, Johnson Fairway and most recent at Nodak Mutual Insurance for over ten years. She enjoyed old movies, listening to music and being out in the field on the tractor.  To Faith, her family was her world. She always supported her children in their endeavors and was extremely proud of the lives they were building. Becoming a grandmother to Zander made Faith very happy and she was always in high spirits when her family was all together.

Faith is survived by her husband of 36 years, Joseph; parents, Erling and Sandra Karlsbraaten; daughters, Ashley Kay (Joshua) Starkweather of Fargo, ND, Danielle Lee (Scott) Buckingham of Fargo, ND and Gabrielle Anne Rehling of Maddock, ND; grandson, Zander Buckingham; siblings, Paula (Jon) Lee of Fargo, ND, Doreen (Mike) Fischer of Shakopee, MN and Eric (Val) Karlsbraaten of Esmond, ND; grandmother, Florence Wold; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, William Hoberg and Claudius Wold; grandparents, Edwing and Gilma Karlsbraaten; nephew, Ryan Bartsch; uncles, David Hoberg and Russell Holm; aunt, Norma Hoberg.
