Gail F Selland, 83, of Leeds, ND passed away Friday, May 24, 2019 at Eventide Heartland Care Center in Devils Lake, ND. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, May 31, 2019 at the Leeds Lutheran Church in Leeds, ND with Pastor Sharon Baker officiating. Visitation will take place Thursday, May 30, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM followed by 7:00 PM Prayer Service at the Nelson Funeral Home in Leeds. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Music will be provided by Dan Nybo and Nancy Silliman. Burial will be held at the Leeds Lutheran Cemetery. Casket Bearers will be Don Haugen, Bob Silliman, Darcy Robinson, Wayne Fleischfresser, Jim Inkstrom and Virgil Anderson. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Leeds Lutheran Cemetery P.O. Box 76 Leeds, ND 58346.

Gail was born April 9, 1936 to Gilbert and Frances (Linehart) Nesvig in Leeds, ND. She attended school in Leeds, graduating Leeds High School with the class of 1954. Gail was united in marriage to Robert Selland on July 29, 1954 at the Leeds Lutheran Church. To this union, Gail and Bob welcomed their three children: Bonnie, Steve and Mike.

Gail and Bob relocated to Minot, ND, Baltimore, MD and back to Leeds in 1960 when they decided to take over Gail's fathers farming operation. Gail worked at the local Drug Store for many years and helped during income tax season. Gail and Bob enjoyed traveling together, spending seventeen winters in Alabama and the last six winters in Arizona.

Gail enjoyed her flowers and gardening, canning, crafts and reading. She had a fondness for needle-point and cross stitching and most the pictures that hung in the house were made from Gail. She also enjoyed making special Afghan quilts for all her children. Gail was a member of the Leeds Lutheran Church, American Legion Auxiliary and VFW Auxiliary.

Gail is survived by her husband of 64 years, Robert; children, Bonnie (Ron) Martino of Draper, UT, Steve (Leslie) Selland of Milton, FL and Mike (Kathryn) Selland of Thornton, CO; grandsons, Jesse and Dakota; granddaughters, Allison and Samantha; great-grandchildren, Avery, Capri, Nixon and Dash.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Frances Nesvig; sisters, Geraldine, Betty, Patricia and Mary.
