Grace Elizabeth Ball, 104, of Grand Forks, ND, formerly of Minnewaukan, ND passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 in Grand Forks, ND. Services will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at 11 AM in Minnewaukan, ND, at Trinity Free Lutheran Church with Pastor Troy McNear officiating. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the church. Interment will be later in the Minnewaukan Presbyterian Cemetery.

Grace was born in Minnewaukan on May 1, 1921. She married Milson Ball on January 26, 1945, after he returned from WWII. Milson and Grace owned and operated the Red Owl grocery and appliance store in Minnewaukan until their retirement in 1977.

Grace was involved with many church and community activities throughout her lifetime. One of her favorite memberships was with The Order of the Eastern Star, a prominent, co–ed fraternal organization affiliated with Freemasonry, founded in 1850 based on biblical teachings.

Grace enjoyed ice fishing, "Sioux" hockey, Minnewaukan boys' and girls' basketball, high school band concerts, gardening, knitting, baking, playing piano, shopping, and bingo. Almost every weekend Milson and Grace gathered with their friends at the Elks Club. Her most cherished moments were spending time with her family and her lifetime friends.

Survivors include son, Dennis (Laurie). Grandchildren include Heather (Jim) Douglas, Jeffrey (Jean) Ball, Holly (Diar) Qastin, Abbie (Nathan) Nickell. Great grandchildren include Tyler, Alli, Josh Douglas; TJ, Riley Ball, Breana, Landyn Hauser; Sam, Andrew, Kate Qastin; and Gavin Nickell.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, relatives, and friends.
