Gregory Elden Maier, 51, of Minnewaukan, ND passed away Friday, June 5, 2015 near Devils Lake, ND. Memorial services will be held Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 4:00 PM at Trinity Free Lutheran Church in Minnewaukan with Pastor Lu Mathison officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Honorary casket bearers will be Jerry Eberhardt, Keith Jager, Dale Volk, Duane Schmaltz, Glenn Weeks and Terry Myhre. Music will be provided by Fay Huffman. Military Rites will be conducted by the North Dakota Military Funeral Honors Team.

Greg was born on December 9th, 1963 in Fargo, N.D. to Robert Maier and Karen Maier. He attended Minnewaukan Public School and graduated in 1982. Gregory served in the United States Army. He lived in Minnewaukan, N.D. and was a self-employed flooring installer.

Greg loved spending time with his boys and was devoted to family and friends. He was an avid hunter and loved camping, fishing, gardening and cooking. He will especially be remembered for his never ending smile and contagious laugh.

Greg was baptized at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Fargo, N.D. and was confirmed at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Minnewaukan, N.D.

Survivors include: His two sons, Daniel-13 and Tyrel-12 Maier; his father, Robert (Crystal) Maier; his mother, Karen Maier, two brothers, Jason (Cammie) and John (Robin) Maier; his sister, Bobbie Maier; Mary Morin, the love of his life; two step sisters, Janet Axtman and Angela Goefer; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Greg was preceded in death by his grandparents, one aunt, one uncle and one great niece.

We love you dearly Greg and miss you terribly. May God hold you in his loving arms and may your laughter echo through the clouds forever.
