Hazel Lucille Fox Fosen, 104, of Monticello, MN, formerly of Leeds, ND passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at the North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale, MN. Funeral Services will be held at 2:30PM Saturday, October 15, 2016 at the North Prairie Lutheran Church in rural Leeds, ND with Pastor Michael Rohrer officiating. Visitation will start two hours prior to the service. Burial will take place in the North Prairie Lutheran Church Cemetery. Music will be provided by Kyle Vanderbeek, Jennifer Abrahamson and MiChelle Nybo. Casket Bearers will be Aaron Thompson, Jay Abrahamson, Dennis Sexhus, Greg Anderson, Billy Harkness and Tom Duenow. Honorary Casket Bearers will be Keillor Thompson, Quentin Thompson, Josie Abrahamson, Joss Abrahamson and the Ken Fox family.

Hazel Lucille was born February 25, 1912 to Charles and Sarah (Cassidy) Fox in Leeds, ND. She grew up on a farm and attended school in Leeds. After graduating high school, Hazel completed beauty school in Fargo, ND and worked as a hairdresser briefly in Leeds. In October 1938, Hazel was united in marriage to Nels Fosen in Churches Ferry, ND.

Hazel was a member of the North Prairie Lutheran Church, the Eastern Star and the Red Hat Club. She enjoyed sewing, reading, creating velvet art, cooking and baking.

Hazel is survived by her daughter, Judy (Tom) Duenow of Elk River, MN; grandchildren, Adrienne (Aaron) Thompson of Shorewood, MN and Jennifer (Jay) Abrahamson of Victoria, MN; great-grandchildren, Keillor Thomson, Quentin Thompson, Josie Abrahamson and Joss Abrahamson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Sarah (Cassidy) Fox; husband, Nels; brothers, Adrian, Charles, Kenneth, Floyd and Clayton; and grandparents.
