Hermoine M. Jorgenson, 76, of Minnewaukan, ND,  died Wednesday, May 4th, 2011 at Woodside Village Valley Memorial Home in Grand Forks.  Funeral services will be Monday, May 9th, 2011,  2:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church in Minnewaukan with Pastor Kevin Kaufmann, officiating.  Burial will be in the Minnewaukan Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday at the church from noon until the time of service.  Music will be from Claudette Carlson, vocalist with Carol Thompson, organist.

Hermoine Mae Jorgenson was born near Minnewaukan on November 22, 1934,  the youngest child of Herman and Rose (Chapman) Anderson.  She graduated from the Minnewaukan High School in 1953.  Hermoine worked as a secretary for a time in Washburn and Cando, ND.   She was once married to Norman Jorgenson.  They had 6 children:   Kirk, Scott, Penny, Bruce, Wendy, and Cynthia.  They lived in South Dakota and Washington State during the 1960's, returning to Minnewaukan in 1970.  Hermoine worked for several years in the 1980's  at Devils Lake Sioux Manufacturing.   She then attended UND-Lake Region at Devils Lake,  graduating with a marketing degree in 1992.  Hermoine was then employed in Minnewaukan first at the Little Flower Corporation helping with girls,  then at the Minnewaukan Library  followed by the Minnewaukan museum.    Hermoine left Minnewaukan in the fall of 2009 due to the flooding.  She lived in Devils Lake until entering the nursing home in late June of 2010.

She is survived by her children and grandchildren:  Kirk Jorgenson of New Rockford, Scott Jorgenson of Bismarck,  Penny (Jorgenson) Axtman and Bruce Jorgenson both of Grand Forks,  Wendy (Jorgenson) and Paul McCarthy and their daughter Emily of Saint Albans, VT  and Cynthia (Jorgenson) and Kelly Abbott and their daughters Caitlyn and Alex of Ocean Springs, MS;   several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and nephews.

Hermoine was preceded in death by her parents;  siblings:  Clinton, Francis, and Darrel Anderson,   Rosella (Anderson) Aasmundstad and Marcella (Anderson) Teigen and a nephew Barry Aasmundstad.
