Juanita 'Nita' Jennett Hill, 76, of Esmond, ND passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Ava's House Hospice Care in Sioux Falls, SD.  Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at the Bethany Evangelical Free Church in Esmond, ND with Pastor Dave Fix officiating. Visitation will take place from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a 7:00 PM Family Service Monday, October 22, 2018 at the Nelson Funeral Home in Maddock, ND. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be held at the Hesper Cemetery in Hesper, ND. Music will be provided by Rachel Markestad, Roger Hill and Yoli Slater.  Casket Bearers will be Dave Butz, Alecz Hill, Ross Hill, Wayne Markegard, Chad Hill and Kurt Butz.

Juanita 'Nita' Jennett Crockett was born February 21, 1942 to Howard D. and Ruby M. (Moore) Crockett on the family farm in Calvin, ND. Nita graduated from Calvin High School in 1960. She then moved to Bismarck to take a one-year business course from Capital Commercial College. The following summer, Nita worked in Minneapolis at Dayton's in the sales audit department. After this, she moved to Devils Lake where she was employed by First National Bank for ten years. Nita also attended Montana Institute of Bible in Billings, MT, for three and one-half years. In 1972, she began working for FaHoCha Bible Conference and was employed there for two years.

Nita was united in marriage to Thomas Hill on April 20, 1974. The couple resided in Esmond for a short time before building a home on the family farm, where they continue to live today. Tom and Nita welcomed two children to this union, Angela and Kevin. Nita was employed at the City Auditor's Office in Maddock for over ten years. She was a member of the Bethany Evangelical Free Church in Esmond, Evening Star Homemakers, White Cross and WMS.

Nita is survived by her husband of 44 years, Tom; children, Angela (Mike) Holmquist and children, Levi and Jacob of Hospers, IA and Kevin (Kristyn) Hill and children, Nathan, Owen and Lauren of Killarney, MB; brother, David Crockett and special friend, Jean Arnold of Calvin, ND.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Howard D. and Ruby M. (Moore) Crockett; sister, Izetta (Daniel) Ritter.
