Kenneth 'Kenny' Lunde, 70, of Leeds, ND passed away Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Trinity Hospital in Minot, ND. Due to weather conditinos, Funeral Services have been moved to 4:00 PM Sunday, April 23, 2023 at Leeds Lutheran Church with Pastor Connie Monson officiating .  Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be held at Brinsmade Lutheran Cemetery at a later time.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Brinsmade Lutheran Cemetery: 644 13 ^th Avenue NE Devils Lake, ND 58301.  Everyone is welcome to live stream the service on the Nelson Funeral Home Facebook Page.

Kenneth Lunde was born in Maddock, ND on August 26, 1952 to Clarence and Ruth (Kirkeide) Lunde.  He attended grade school in Harlow and Brinsmade and graduated from Leeds High School in 1970.  Kenny attended Lake Region College in Devils Lake for two years, then moved to Minot to work for Rice Oil Co., working in several company owned filling stations.

Kenny started employment with the North Central Soil Conservation District in March of 1993.  He was also the Clerk/Treasurer for the Butte Valley Township, elected in 2003. One of Kenny's proudest accomplishments was being alcohol free and sober since January 1988 until his passing.

Kenny is survived by his siblings, Agnes (Jerry) Filler of Bismarck, ND, Joel Lunde of Maddock, ND, Jerry (Barb) Lunde of Maddock, ND and Paul (Cheryl) Lunde of Maddock, ND; sister-in-law, Beverly Lunde; nieces and nephews, Jason (Cara) Filler, Steven Filler, Vanessa Lunde, Celeste (Justin) Badke, Bridget (Chad) Geller, Cody Lunde, Jordan (Callie) Lunde, Kendra (John) Stinkeoway, Marissa Lunde, Erick Lunde, Brandon Lunde, Michael Lunde, Ryan Lunde, Jaden Lunde; great nieces and nephews, Jaxson Filler, Chris Filler, Brooklyn Filler, Peyton Sult, Devlan Sult, Teah (Riley) Dellinger, Serenity Badke, Gracelynn Badke, Brayden Stinkeoway, Aubrey Stinkeoway, Cohen Lunde, Aiden Lunde, Ethan Lunde, Tatum Lunde, Cooper Wachendorf, Ripken Geller, Riker Geller and Rigley Geller.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Ruth Lunde; brothers, Everett Lee Lunde and Carter Wayne Lunde; niece, Jennifer Filler; an infant sibling; maternal and paternal grandparents; numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.
