Obituary

Kirk Lee Randle, 59, of Leeds, ND, passed away Tuesday June 2, 2020 at his home under the care of hospice.  Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, June 5, 2020 at the Pleasant Valley Church of the Brethren Cemetery in rural York, ND with Pastor Michael Rohrer officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Altru Hospice: 1001 7Th St Ne Devils Lake, ND, the Leeds Ambulance Service: 130 1st Ave NW, Leeds, ND 58346 or the New Town Ambulance Service: 107 Soo PI N, New Town, ND 58763.

Kirk Lee Randle was born February 8, 1961 to Arlin and Lucille (Long) Randle in Rugby, ND.  He attended grade school in York until the sixth grade, then graduating from Leeds High School in 1979.  Kirk was united in marriage to Janet Owens on July 27, 1979.  To this union, the couple welcomed two sons, Jason and Matthew.

Kirk attended Bismarck Junior College for heating, refrigeration and air conditioning.  He settled in Brinsmade, ND, and worked for Arden Herman for a number of years before the family moved to Leeds, ND and he accepted a position at BTR elevator.  Kirk received his EMT certification with the Leeds Ambulance in 2011 and continued to earn an Advanced EMT.  He worked full time for the New Town Ambulance Service in 2018 until retiring for medical reasons.

Kirk was an avid sports fan, often volunteering his time keeping score for local basketball games.  He also enjoyed bow hunting and fishing, but especially spending quality time with his children and grandchildren.  Kirk enjoyed visiting and socializing with his many friends, family and loved visits from his little friend next door, Evie.

Kirk is survived by his wife of 40 years, Janet; sons, Jason (Gina) Randle of Crystal Lake, IL and Matthew (Alison) Randle of Mapleton, ND; grandchildren, Caleb, Cam, Gabe, Paxton and Emsley Randle; siblings, Carol (Jim) Gustafson of Minneapolis, MN, Caron (Don) May of Minot, ND, Kevin Randle of Hazen, ND and Colleen (Al) Tschaekofske of Minot, ND.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Arlin and Lucille Randle; brother, Kurtis Randle; maternal grandparents, Lawrence (Agnes) Long; paternal grandparents, Walter and Hazel Randle.
