Lloyd C. Rosendahl, 83, Maddock, ND, passed away Friday, September 5, 2014, at his home in Maddock, ND. Services will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at North Viking Lutheran Church in Maddock, ND with Pastor Allen Campbell officiating. Burial will be in the North Viking Lutheran Cemetery, Maddock. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Pallbearers will be Lawerence Tollefeson, Daniel Tollefson, Rudolph Tollefson, Donovan Olson, Emil Kraft and Benny Fossen. Honorary Pallbearers will be Darrel Johnson and Allen Laughery. Music will be provided by Rachel Markestad and Yvonne Fossen. Military Honors will be provided by the Theodore A. Togstad Post # 123 Maddock American Legion and the North Dakota Military Funeral Honors Team.

Lloyd was born July 3, 1931 in Bremen, ND to John and Inga (Flaskrud) Rosendahl. He attended school in Bremen, ND and was employed by the Great Northern Railroad until joining the Marine Corp from 1951 to 1953. After being honorably discharged he returned to the Maddock area and worked for area farmers. He was united in Marriage to Barb Tollefson on September 10, 1962 at Hamberg, ND. The couple continued to live in the Maddock area and Lloyd continued to work for area farmers. He worked for Clifford Westby for twenty-eight years. Lloyd loved to play cards, listen to polka music, visiting with others, gardening, animals, drinking a coke and never went anywhere without his snuff.

Lloyd is survived by his wife Barb; daughter: Beverly (Bill Walford) Aanderud of Devils Lake, ND; son: Norman (Robin) Rosendahl of Maddock, ND; grandchildren: Yvonne (Mitchell) Fossen of Maddock, ND, Shannon (Levi) Louder of Draper, SD, Stephani Rosendahl and Andrew Rosendahl of Moorhead, MN, Elizabeth, Felicea and Victoria Rosendahl of Watertown, SD and Kristi Medalen of Maddock, ND; great-grandchildren: Vada and Vyvyan Fossen of Maddock, ND, Serenity Rosendahl, Araya Nygaard and Tyson Miller of Watertown, SD, Abigail and Graci Brakke of Moorhead, MN; special granddaughter: Tasha Johnson of Minot, ND; nephew: Michael Jones of Maddock, ND and a niece: Doreen Jones of Devils Lake, ND.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Marion Jones.
