Lori Jean Crist, 62, of Fargo, ND and formerly of Leeds, ND passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2024 at Sanford Broadway Medical Center in Fargo, ND.  Services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, November 11, 2024 at the Nelson Funeral Home Chapel in Leeds, ND with Pastor Cassie Borges officiating.  Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be at the Leeds Lutheran Cemetery.

Lori Crist, beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully, joining her cherished daughter, Rachell, who passed earlier this year in February.  Lori's life was marked by resilience, compassion, and a steadfast devotion to her family.

Born to Janice and Arlen Crist, Lori was the loving sister of Susan Haakenson, Debra Strand, Randy Crist, Steven Crist, Terry Crist, and her twin brother, Loren Crist.  As a mother to her daughters, Jani, Heidi, and the late Rachell, Lori guided her children with strength and love, teaching them the importance of kindness, perseverance, and selflessness.  She faced many challenges with remarkable grace, showing her family the value of resilience through her own life's journey.  Her legacy lives on through her daughters and her six beloved grandchildren – Dylan, Morgan, Blaiz, Darrell, Star, and Sweetest – as well as many loved nieces and nephews, all of whom carry a piece of her spirit and love.

Lori was happiest when caring for others, whether it was cooking a warm meal for family and friends or feeding the neighborhood's animals.  Her gentle, giving nature drew in all living creatures, from dogs to squirrels and birds, each sensing the warmth in her heart.

Her memory lives on in her daughters, grandchildren, and extended family, who will carry forward her lessons of love, kindness, and strength.  Lori's compassion for others and her dedication to her family and community will forever inspire those who knew and loved her.
