Mary Lou Stubbs Dibble, 67, of Leeds, ND, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2020 near Leeds.  Services will be held in Texas at a later date.

Mary Lou was born December 19, 1952 to Maggie Marie (Wilkerson) Franke and Willie Ben Franke in San Antonio, TX. She began her fame on Ripley's Believe It or Not, at the age of three months, as she balanced on her father Stubbs hand in San Antonio. Mary attended South Side High School where she played basketball and graduated. She spent her younger years working hard on the farm and helped take care of her brothers and sisters. Mary had a beautiful soul and at a young age was given the nickname, 'Texas Sunshine'.

Mary spent over fifteen years in Alaska, working at Prudhoe Bay and managing The Pines Club in Anchorage. As a woman of many talents, Mary was in a band called The Arizona Outlaws, which spent twelve years on tour. Music was very important to Mary; some favorites of hers were Coal Miner's Daughter, You Are My Sunshine, Gold Dust Woman, Grandpa, Crazy, Go Rest High on The Mountain, Black Velvet and Amazing Grace. She also wrote and composed her own music, such as, 'My Home' which was about her life growing up in San Antonio and 'My Dad'. She enjoyed all the traveling and was able to meet many famous musicians from her music career.

Mary was the heart, rock and foundation of her family. She loved people and always prayed for the goodness in them. Mary was known as Lady Fair Maiden, named by late husband Bill, because she was full of love and grace and always there for those in need.   She cared for her mother and father up until their passing.

Mary was a wonderful, loving mother and grandmother to her family but also to many others in her life. She had a close bond with her daughter Brandie, as they were Sisters of the Moon. Mary always looked to the positive, stayed strong and prayed daily for those she loved and even those that treated her badly.

Mary is survived by her children, Loretta and Dean Wangler of Penn, ND, Michael Thayne (Karley Kinney) of Leeds, ND, Anthony 'Tony' Lee Langston of Texas, Selena Colleen Kuczero (Donny Williams) of Cheyenne, WY and Brandie Duran (Eric Yager) of Dallas, OR; grandchildren, Justin Wangler, Kayla Wangler, Colton Wangler, Ryan Wangler, Camee Wangler, Michael Rice, Daniel Rice, Ashley Thayne, Timothy Thayne, Brycine Kinney, Lucian Langston, Cora Kuczero, LillieAnn Kuczero, JC Leo Williams, Hannah Williams, Brandy Yager, Tristin Burtchell, Izik Burtchell and Joseph Burtchell; great-grandchildren, Gracie, Mason, Haven, Autumn, Colt, Zeb, Remie, Lexy, Hunter, William Dickinson; numerous beloved sisters and brothers; Robert Christianson, Jason (Shanna) Christianson and daughters Kendail and Maddie, Rainy, Jason, Lyndsey, Eris Pierce and Carol Robertson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill Dibble.

Mary was very beautiful inside and out – now she sparkles. If we forgot anyone it was not intentional, please forgive us as this is a very difficult time for the family.
