Maxine E. Lysne, 92, of Minnewaukan, ND passed away Friday, January 5, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Society in Lakota, ND. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 12, 2018 at the Trinity Free Lutheran Church in Minnewaukan, ND with Pastor Luther 'Lu' Mathison officiating. Visitation will begin two hours prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place at the St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery in Minnewaukan, ND. Maxine Elaine was born August 14, 1925, the daughter of Floyd and Josephine Johnson. Maxine married Adolph J. Lysne on November 18, 1944 at the St. Peter Lutheran Church parsonage in Minnewaukan. They made their home on a farm 5 ½ miles west of Minnewaukan. Adolph died November 11, 1991.

Maxine worked at the Benson County Treasurer's Office for 40 years, retiring in the year 2000. Maxine enjoyed the 55 Club, traveling, gardening and Bingo. She also enjoyed making her great chocolate chip cookies.

Maxine is survived by her children, Patricia 'Toni' Mimay of Grand Forks, ND, Dennis Lysne of Seattle, WA, Michael (Carole) Lysne of Minnewaukan, ND and Jerry Lysne of Las Vegas, NV; four grandchildren, Jason (Mary) Mimay, Benjamin Mimay, Grant (Christine) Mimay and Brian Lysne; 2 great-grandchildren, Anthoni Mimay and Andrew Mimay; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Adolph J. Lysne; parents, Floyd and Josephine Johnson; sisters, Twila and Frances; brother-in-law, James Tollefson and Robert Brown; son-in-law, Dr. Antonio Mimay.
