Michael Dale Jones, 65, of Maddock, ND passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at Heart of America Medical Center in Rugby, ND.  Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, September 29, 2023 at the Nelson Funeral Home in Maddock with Pastor Luther 'Lu' Mathison officiating.  Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be at West Minnewaukan Free Lutheran Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to: West Minnewaukan Free Lutheran Cemetery: 303 Kennedy Avenue Maddock, ND 58348.

Michael Dale Jones was born June 27, 1958 to Dalen and Marion (Rosendahl) Jones in Maddock.  He was raised and educated in Maddock, graduating from Maddock High School with the class of 1978.  After high school, Michael began working with his father on the Popes farm in rural Maddock for a number of years.  Michael also worked at the Maddock Memorial Home as grounds keeper, for a short time, as he shoveled snow and cared for the lawn.

Michael enjoyed building and constructing model cars and visiting with his local neighbors and friends.  His favorite past time was spent at Bible Study with his friends at the Zion Lutheran Brethren Church in Maddock.   Michael will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Michael is survived by his uncle and aunts, Jerry and Donna Filner of Madison, WI and Barb Davis of Maddock, ND and numerous cousins.   He is preceded in death by his parents, Dalen and Marion Jones; and sister, Doreen Kay Jones.
