Odin T. Fossen, 90, of Maddock, ND passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at the Ave Maria Village in Jamestown, ND. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 29, 2017 at the North Viking Church in Maddock, ND with Pastor Allen Campbell officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place at the North Viking Lutheran Cemetery in Maddock, ND. Music will be provided by Rachel Markestad.

Odin Tillard Fossen was born on a farm near Heimdal, ND on Oct. 26, 1926 to Engebret and Julia (Reirson) Fossen. Odin was the youngest of nine brothers and two sisters. He attended the Arne school. Odin married Marlys (Olson) on Oct. 30, 1949 in Sheyenne, ND by Rev. Paul Gustafson. Together they made their home on the Fossen farm until retirement in 2001 when they moved into Maddock. He had served on the church council and township board. He was a dedicated husband and father. Odin had been living in Jamestown since 2011. Marlys passed away July 23, 2015.

Odin is survived by daughter Diane (James) Nygaard, of Jamestown, ND, son Bruce (Shelley) Fossen, of Jamestown, ND and daughter Penny (Bill) Pipho, of Blair, OK; six grandchildren, Patrick Nygaard, Nicole (Travis) Heinle, Jordan (Mallory) Nygaard, Jarred (Brittany) Nygaard, Brandi Janke, and Reid Fossen; 7 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; son Dwight; brothers Julius, Melvin, Clarence, Bennie, Lloyd, Johnnie, Kermit, Elvin, and Tilford; sisters Mabel Johnson, Inga White and one infant.
