Patricia J. Armstrong, 69, of Leeds, and formerly of Churchs Ferry, ND,  died Thursday, September 20, 2012, at Kindred Hospital in Fargo.  Memorial services will be Tuesday, September 25, 2012, 2:00 PM at the Nelson Funeral Home in Leeds with Pastor Richard Budd officiating. At Pat's request, her remains were bequeathed to the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Grand Forks.

Patricia June Armstrong was born April 27, 1943 at Caldwell, West Virginia the daughter of James and Laura (Barrett) Ellison.  She was raised and educated in West Virginia.  She married Rex Armstrong October 12, 1965 in Waukegan, Il.  The couple moved Churchs Ferry in 1991 and operated the Watering Hole Bar for 13 years.  They moved to Leeds in 2000.  Through the years she had worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at various nursing homes but retired do to ill health.

Surviving are her husband:  Rex of Leeds;  daughters:  Dreama Ellison of Leeds and Laura (Bryan) Beebe of La Pine, OR;  5 grandchildren and a sister:  Judy (Allen) Maulder of Narrows, Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son: James and a granddaughter:  Faith.
