Patricia "Patsy" Bjerke, 56 of Devils Lake, ND, formerly of Churchs Ferry, ND, passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2015, at the Mercy Hospital in Devils Lake, ND. Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, November 16, 2015 at the Nelson Funeral Home in Leeds, ND with Pastor Michael Rohrer officiating. Burial will be held at the Churchs Ferry Cemetery. Honorary Urn Bearers will be all of Patsy's care-givers and friends at the Good Samaritan Society in Devils Lake, ND. Music will be provided by MariDon Sorum and Doris Michaels.

Patricia "Patsy" Bjerke was born to Orville and Betty (Olson) Bjerke on November 24, 1958 in Devils Lake, ND. She attended grade school in Grand Forks, ND until her family moved to Churchs Ferry, ND in 1968, where she graduated high school in 1977. Patsy went on to graduate from the Aakers Business College in Grand Forks, ND as a Medical Transcriptionist. She was employed with hospitals in Bismarck, ND, Sioux Falls, SD and Devils Lake, ND before illness forced her retirement.

Patsy moved to Mandan, ND in 1997, where she lived at the Dakota Alpha residence. She moved to the Good Samaritan Society in Devils Lake, ND in 2003 where she made her home. She enjoyed the many visits of her family and friends. Patsy really liked goofy dress-up days with the gals at the Good Sam and the excellent care she received while making her home there. Her Cocker Spaniel,'Mandy Jo', was her best friend and the love of her life.

Patsy is survived by her siblings: Brad (Sandra) Bjerke of Charleston, SC and Brian (Carla) Bjerke of Leeds, ND; 5 nieces and nephews: Tyler Bjerke, Taryn Bjerke, Elsie Bjerke, Ethan Bjerke and Jason (Shanna) Christianson; 2 great nieces: Kendall and Madelyn Christianson; brother-in-law: Robert Christianson of Leeds, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Betty Bjerke, and a sister, Peggy Christianson.
