Patrick V. Hook, Sr. 44, of Devils Lake, died Tuesday, May 25, 2010, at Fort. Totten, ND following an illness. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, May 29th, 2010, 10:00 AM at St. Michael's Catholic Church in St. Michael with Fr. Brian Moen celebrating the mass. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Wake will begin at 5pm Friday with an 8:00 PM Rosary all at the Tekakwitha Center in St. Michael. The procession to St. Michael will leave from the Nelson Funeral Home in Minnewaukan at 4pm on Friday.
Casket bearers will be: Jeff Cavanaugh, Dave Cavanaugh, Justin Hook, Mark Fassett, Todd Belgarde, Dustin Dunn, Frank Charboneau and Perry Fassett. Honorary Bearers will be: Clark Cavanaugh, Neil GreyWater, James GreyWater, Donnie Smith, David Riggle, Robert (Kristi) Thompson, KJ GreyWater, John Hill, Mike Dunn, Raymond Cavanaugh, Stacy Feather (Chibs), Kelly Brown, Perry Cavanaugh, David Smith, Mitch Rainbow, Chris Anderson, Trent Anderson, Mary Charboneau (adopted mother). All of the Charboneau, Anderson and Cavanaugh families and Vikki Gourneau. We apologize in our time of grief, if anyone was forgotten, it was not intentional.
Patrick Vernon Hook, Sr. was born at Fargo, ND, to Larry and Rosella (Martin) Hook on March 19, 1966. His younger years were spent in Fargo, Hawaii, Fort Totten, Hurdsfield, St. Michael and in Rockford, Ill. Patrick attended school in Hursdfield, St. Michael, Devils Lake and Fort Totten and later earned his GED. He worked at Sioux Manufacturing and Dakota Tribal Industries in Fort Totten and for a several of construction companies. However, his first love was working of cars. Patrick married Angela Charboneau on March 1, 1991. They shared twent years together and five children. The family lived in Fargo, Fort Totten and Devils Lake.
Patrick was a very good father and grandfather and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. They were his world and he loved them very much. Patrick was a fun loving and good hearted man, who was loved by all and had friends where ever he went.
Surviving are his wife: Angela of Fort Totten; sons: Pat, Jr. (Naomi WalkingEagle) of Devils Lake, Kyle Charboneau (KayLee Dauphinais) of Fort Totten; daughters: Kayla Hook (Dulin Longie) of Devils Lake, Paige Hook and Amber Hook of Fort Totten; grandsons: Tyler Hook, Preston Hook and Kyle Charboneau, Jr.; granddaughter: Julissa Dauphinais; his father: Larry Hook of Fargo; sisters: Carrie Smith (Kelley Brown) of Fort Totten, Lisa Hook of Casselton, ND and Katrina LoveJoy of Bismarck; brothers: Pat Taylor of Dilworth, MN, Robbie Hook and Danny Hook both of Fargo and Larry Hook, Jr. in Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his mother: Rosella Hook; brothers: Terrence Hook and Michael Smith and adopted fathers: Mike Smith and Frank Charboneau.
