Richard L. Larson, 77, of Leeds, ND passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at the Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 20, 2026 at the Leeds Lutheran Church with Pastor Sharon Baker officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at the Leeds Cemetery following the reception. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Leeds Ambulance Service: P.O. Box 361 Leeds, ND 58346. Everyone is welcome to stream the service on the Leeds Lutheran Church Facebook Page.

Richard Lee Larson, 77, of Leeds, ND, passed away on August 11th, 2026. Rick was born April 4th, 1949, at Devils Lake, ND, to G.D. (Bud) and Phyllis (Martin) Larson. He was raised and graduated from Leeds High School and attended Mayville State University, as a History major. Rick began working for Larson Implement of Leeds and eventually became a 3-part owner with his father, Bud Larson and brother-in-law, Rio Himle. Rick & Rio purchased land from Bud and formed H&R Farms. The three of them, along with Rick’s brother, Gary Larson, farmed all their ground collectively, until the late 90’s.

Rick found a newfound fervor for life in the late 80’s, by growing some new equipment lines like Ford New Holland and Bourgault. He served on the Leeds Lutheran church council and was an active member during a major remodeling project. He became an avid scuba diver, traveled and went back to college to obtain an A.S. degree in Information Technology. Rick retired from farming & business in 2008.

Rick is survived by his two children, David (Jessica) Larson & Jennifer Larson; two grandchildren, Molly Robideau Larson & Megan Larson; sister, Jean (Rio) Himle; and our close friend, Janet Randle.

Rick is preceded in death by his parents, Bud & Phyllis Larson; and brother, Gary Larson.
