Sergeant First Class (Retired US Army) Richard Dean Wack, 60, of Rotonda West, Florida passed away Friday, September 21, 2018 at Tidewell Hospice in Port Charlotte, Florida. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30AM Saturday, October 6, 2018 at the St. Boniface Catholic Church in Esmond, North Dakota with Fr. Brian Bachmeier celebrating mass. Visitation will take place Friday, October 5, 2018 at the St. Boniface Catholic Church from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a Rosary and Vigil service beginning at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at the St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery in Esmond.

Richard Dean Wack was born August 29, 1958 in Harvey, North Dakota to James and Alice (Martian) Wack; he had served 22 years in the U. S. Army and retired in 1999. He moved to Florida from Aurora, Colorado in 2001.

Richard was a member of the Englewood United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his loving wife of thirty-two years: Santha; two daughters: Rachel and Jocelyn Wack all of Rotonda West, Florida; his mother: Alice Wack of Esmond, North Dakota; five sisters: Beverly Jameson of Clackamas, Oregon; Connie Keller of Esmond, North Dakota; Faye Mertens of Devils Lake, North Dakota; Mary Wack of Safford, Arizona; Darla McDonald of Goodyear, Arizona; three brothers: Anthony Wack of Devils Lake, North Dakota, Mark Wack of Esmond, North Dakota, Joel Wack of Bismarck, North Dakota; three grandchildren: Desirea, Adrianna and Havanna Wack.

He is pre-deceased by his father, and a sister, Rosemarie.
