Robert "Bob" Kjosa, 77, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00AM Thursday, December 3, 2015 at the Leeds Lutheran Church with Pastor Michael Pretzer officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Cemetery in rural Leeds, ND.

Robert "Bob"Kjosa was born May 12, 1938 in Webster, SD, the oldest of three children to Gladwin and Garnet Kjosa. He grew up on his parent's farm 15 miles southwest of Sisseton, SD.

Robert attended Wahpeton School of Science where he majored in drafting. Bob married Marie Fuller in May 1958 in Oakes, ND and they welcomed a daughter, Valerie.

Bob married Darlene Ann McGarvey on August 2, 1961 in Sisseton, SD. They lived in North and South Dakota, Montana and Minnesota while Bob was a Foreman for a construction company building grain elevators until April 1963. After settling in Leeds, ND, he then accepted employment with Larson Implement where he later became Parts Manager, a position he held for over 45 years. Bob and Darlene also owned and operated Bob's Bar and Dolly's Café in York, ND. Darlene passed away on June 1, 1997. Bob continued to live in Leeds, ND in the same house he and Darlene shared and raised their four children: Sandra, Robert Jr., Paul and Connie. After retiring from Larson Implement, Bob went to work for the Benson County Soil Conservation until his health required him to retire in 2014.

Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing cards with friends and family. He also liked working on cars, watching NASCAR racing and going to the casino. He was an EMT, volunteer fireman and a member of the Lions Club.

Bob is survived by his children: Valerie Kjosa of Monterey, CA, Sandra Austin of Minot, ND, Paul (Elaine) Kjosa of O'Fallon, IL and Connie (Dale) Elverud of Leeds, ND; special friend and companion of 16 years, Evadean Baglien of Leeds, ND; 8 grandchildren: Jesse Lunde, Cassie Lunde, Marc Kunkel, David Kunkel, Dustin Kjosa, Nicolas Kjosa, Nathan Elverud and Morgan Kjosa; 2 great grandchildren: Addyson Lunde & Madison Kunkel, siblings: David (Esther) Kjosa of Wesley Chapel, FL and Marie (Paul) Markstrom of Henderson, NV.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Darlene; parents; son and daughter-in-law, Robert (Sharlene) Kjosa; granddaughter, Chelsey Austin; father and mother-in-law, Jack (Louise) McGarvey and brother and sister-in-laws: Bob (Ada) McGarvey and Fred (Jackie) Johnson.
