Obituary

Ronald (Bummy) A. Djoseland, 74, of Devils Lake and formerly of Minnewaukan and Maddock, ND,  died Tuesday, November 15, 2011, at his home in Devils Lake.  Funeral services will be Saturday, November 19, 2011,  10:30 AM at the Nelson Funeral Home in Minnewaukan with Pastor Luther Mathison officiating.  Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery at Esmond.  Visitation will be an hour before the service at the funeral home.  His grandchildren will serve as casket bearers.  Music will be from Fay Huffman, organist.

Ronald Arthur Djoseland was born March 15, 1937 at Maddock, ND, to Arthur and Ruby (Rehling) Djoseland.  He graduated from the Maddock High School in 1955.  Bummy married Karen Hanson in 1959.  He lived on the Art Djoseland farm until 1973 when he purchased the Lawrence Pederson farm in Broe Township, Benson County, ND.  He married Jeniva Huber in June of 1984.  The couple retired in 1996 and moved into Minnewaukan and then to Devils Lake in May of this year.

He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Esmond.  Bummy enjoyed visiting with friends, repairing vehicles and farm machinery.

Surviving are his wife:  Jeniva of Devils Lake;   two sons:  Lonnie (Doreen) Djoseland of Emerald, WI  and Craig (Marcelle) Djoseland of   Molalla, OR;  step-children:  Shannon (Jim) Woolf of Idaho Springs, CO,  Kelly (Robert) Huffman of Minnewaukan,  Sandra Huber of Pendleton, OR and Richard Huber of Papillion, NE;  a half-sister:  Joyce Olson of Maddock;  4 grandchildren;  4 great-grandchildren;  10 step-grandchildren and 6 step-great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents and a half-brother:  Gerald Motschenbacher.
