Rose M. Odden, 68, of Maddock, ND passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at the Heart of America Medical Center in Rugby, ND. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, September 25, 2017 at the St. Williams Catholic Church in Maddock, ND with Fr. Brian Bachmeier celebrating. Visitation will take place from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM followed by a Rosary at 7:00 PM and Vigil Service at 7:30 PM on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at St. Williams Catholic Church in Maddock, ND. Burial will take place at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM on Friday, September 29, 2017. Music will be provided by Becky Brandvold and Micki Brandvold. Casket Bearers will be Ken Odden Jr., Tim Odden, Bradley Odden, Ricky Odden, Danny Odden and Curtis Odden.

Rose was born on January 15, 1949 in Manzano, NM to Delores and Estella (Morales) Candelaria. Rose was raised in Albuquerque, NM and attended Ernie Pile Middle School before having to stay home and help her mother attend to the family. She continued her education at the TVI technical training school for electronics. Rose was united in marriage to Kenneth Odden on June 19, 1971 at the St. Anne's Catholic Church in Albuquerque, NM. Rose worked for Motorola until 1972, when the couple welcomed their first child, Ken Jr.

In April 1976, Kenneth and Rose were stationed at the Minot Air Force Base when they welcomed their second child, Timothy. They were then stationed at the Lowry Air Force Base in November 1979 and later announced the birth of their third child, Linda. Rose enjoyed working at housekeeping in various hotels. The couple moved to Albuquerque, NM in January 1989 and retired on April 1, 1989 before returning to Maddock, ND. Rose enjoyed spending time with her family, exercising, decorating the house, shopping for knickknacks and getting dressed up with her makeup to go out to lunch or supper with friends. She also enjoyed watching the Eternal World Television Religious Network, Lifetime and scary movies. Rose was an avid member of the St. Williams Catholic Church in Maddock, ND.

Rose is survived by her husband of 46 years, Kenneth Odden; children, Ken (Cassie) Odden Jr. of Bismarck, ND, Tim Odden of Bismarck, ND and Linda Odden of Tuscon, AZ; grandchildren, Mikayla (Jamie) Reese of Killdeer, ND, Kali Odden of Bismarck, ND and Taylor Odden of Bismarck, ND; great-grandchildren, Jaxon Reese of Killdeer, ND, Wyatt Reese of Killdeer, ND and Storme Odden of Bismarck, ND; siblings, Tony Duran, Fela Candelaria, Jerry (Isabell) Candelaria, Carlos Candelaria, Michael Candelaria, Dorothy Candelaria and Raymond Candelaria all of Albuquerque, NM and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Delores and Estella (Morales) Candelaria; brother, Lalo Candelaria.
