Sharlene Kjosa's Obituary
Sharlene (Randle) Kjosa, 45, of West Fargo, ND formerly of Baker, ND passed away on December 16, 2014 at University of Minnesota Medical Center-Fairview. Funeral services will be Saturday, December 20, at 2:00 pm at Leeds Lutheran Church, Leeds, ND. Visitation will begin at noon Saturday at the church with Pastor Michael Pretzer officiating. Interment will be at St. Petri Lutheran Cemetery, rural York, following the service. Casket bearers include Tyler Kirkeide, Travis Kirkeide, Kevin Axtman, Dion Johnson, Richard Eberle and Donny Tostenson. Honorary bearers are Julie Tollefson, Judy Freund, Kim Kirkeide, Teri Johnson, and all other friends. Music will be provided by Dan and MiChelle Nybo.
Sharlene Kay Randle was born in Rugby, ND on June 18, 1969 to Elvin and Ardis (Broe) Randle. She attended grade school in York, ND and graduated from Leeds High School in 1988. She was a member of the LHS band, played basketball and was an active member of the Leeds FFA and Merry Maids 4-H Club. She attended NDSU and played in the Varsity Band. Sharlene supported the Special Olympics of ND which her son, Dustin, participated in. She had a passion for NASCAR and driver Jeff Gordon, NDSU Bison Football, RedHawks Baseball, and Fargo Force Hockey.
On June 8, 1991 Sharlene married Robert Kjosa at Leeds Lutheran Church and they lived at the Great Lakes Naval Station Chicago, IL and Norfolk, VA. After Robert's death in 2004, Sharlene and Dustin continued to live in Norfolk, VA. In 2009, they moved to West Fargo, ND.
She was baptized, confirmed, sang in the youth group and attended Sunday School at St. Petri Lutheran Church rural York, ND. After St. Petri Church closed she was a member of Leeds Lutheran Church.
Sharlene is survived by her son, Dustin Kjosa of Fargo, her mother Ardis Randle of Baker, siblings Peggy (Fred) Brager of West Fargo, Wayne (Diane) Randle of Maddock, Marc Randle of Maddock. Four nieces include Kristine Lunde, Kathy Nelson, Kimberly Whitehead and Kenzie Randle, two nephews, Bryan Randle, Kevin Brager and great-niece, Addyson Lunde, great-nephew, Wyatt Nelson and special pets Rocky and Rukus.
She was preceded in death by an infant brother Dale, her husband Robert Kjosa and her father Elvin Randle (2014).
