Sharon F. Esch, 71, of West Fargo, ND and formerly of Minnewaukan, ND, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2016 near Petersburg, ND due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30AM Saturday, October 8, 2016 at the Trinity Free Lutheran Church in Minnewaukan, ND with Pastor Luther Mathison officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00PM to 7:00PM with a 7:00PM Prayer Service Friday, October 7, 2016 at the Nelson Funeral Home in Minnewaukan ND. Burial will take place at the Trinity Free Lutheran Cemetery in Minnewaukan, ND.

Sharon F. Esch was born on August 29, 1945 to Peter and Jean (Belt) Tofsrud in Devils Lake, ND. Her childhood years were spent growing up on a farm where she learned to appreciate hard work. One of her favorite chores was driving grain truck. Sharon attended school in Minnewaukan where she graduated high school. She furthered her education and attended Business School in Grand Forks, ND. Sharon then moved to Rugby, ND where she worked at the clinic and started her family.

Sharon moved to the St. Paul/Minneapolis area where she worked for a number of years before moving back to Minnewaukan to the country lifestyle which she loved so much. She worked at the Leonardo's Pasta Factory in Cando, ND, the Dakota Tribal Industry in Fort Totten, ND. In 2001 she moved to West Fargo, ND and worked for Global Electric in Fargo and was currently employed with Integrity Windows and Doors in Fargo, ND.

Family, especially her grandchildren were her passion and delight and the grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed their special conversations on road trips to and from the farm. She loved decorating for the holiday seasons. Christmas' were always extra special with her. Sharon enjoyed attending all the grandchildren's events, working outside in her yard, tending to her flowers, bird watching, baking, reading and listening to music, especially Elvis.

Sharon is survived by her mother, Jean Tofsrud of Devils Lake, ND; children, Denise (Chad) Cichos of Albertville, MN, Chad (Sheila) Stoll of West Fargo, ND and Heidi Esch (Ryan Ailie) of Big Lake, MN; grandchildren, Megan Cichos, Cole Stoll, Chase Cichos, Caedon Stoll and Braxton Ailie; brother, Rick (Kathy) Tofsrud of Minnewaukan, ND; nephews, Ryan Miller and Andrew (Brittany)Tofsrud.

She was preceded in death by her father, Peder "Pete" Tofsrud and her niece, Sarah Tofsrud.
