Sue Lynne Gunderson, 46, of York, ND,  died Saturday at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks.  Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday,  August 25th, 2011,  at 10:00 AM at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Leeds with Fr. Joseph D'Aco celebrating the mass.  Burial will be in Our Savior's Cemetery at Harlow, ND.   Visitation will be Wednesday at the church from 4 to 7pm followed by a 7:00 PM Rosary and Vigil Service.  Casket bearers will be:  Richard Johnson,  Steve Hoffert,  Pete Ritterman,  Bob Ritterman,  Randy Silliman and Steve Jorgenson.  Music will be from MiChelle & Dan Nybo, Jeff Labrensz,  the church choir and Tammy Meyer.

Sue Lynne Malchose was born August 12, 1965, to Kenneth and Susan (Mears) Malchose.  She was raised in Leeds and graduated from the Leeds High School in 1983.  Sue then attended Josef's School of Hair Design in Fargo.  She was employed at Adeline's and also Performance in Hair in Devils Lake and later operated a daycare.  Sue married Randy Gunderson on August 2, 1986, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Leeds.  The couple lived in Devils Lake until moving to the farm near York in 1995.    In 2008, Sue opened Big City Styles at her farm home.  Sue's family was her life. She loved  attending her children's activities.

Sue was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Leeds where she served on the parish council, was a member of the Altar Society and taught CCD classes.  She enjoyed reading, photography, gardening, bird watching, playing guitar and all kinds of sewing.  Sue especially enjoyed doing alterations on wedding and prom dresses.

Surviving are her husband of 25 years:  Randy;  sons:  Elliott and Logan and a daughter:  Hailey- all of York;  her father:  Kenneth of Minot;  mother:  Susan Malchose of Leeds; brothers:  Todd Malchose of Devils Lake,  Donald (Laura) Malchose of Minot and Kelly (Angie) Malchose of Dickinson, ND;  paternal grandfather:  Clarence Riffey of Minot;  father-in-law:  Gilmen Gunderson of York;  a sister-in-law:  Renae (Wade) Anderson of Harvey;  aunt:  Rhonda Tuenge of Rugby;  uncle:  William Mears of Leeds; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents; paternal grandmother and her mother-in-law:  Esther Gunderson.

Dear Randy and the rest of the Gunderson Family, i was so shocked to hear of the passing of Sue. She was a dear frind of mine, we eere classmates, but kept in touch all these years by telephone. She was always there to talk to when I needed somebody to tell my problems too. She was a very special person I will miss dearly. She was always asking me to come to Leeds and go to kJ's and we could have a steak an catch up and visit. I really wish i would've gotten down there to see her one last time.
