Terry Peiler, 65, of Leeds, ND, passed away at his home on Wednesday, August 31, 2016. A Graveside Service will be held at 3:00PM on Friday, September 16, 2016 at the Leeds Lutheran Cemetery with Pastor Michael Rohrer officiating. A reception will be held at the Leeds Lutheran Church at 3:30 PM following the service.
Terry Lee Peiler was born December 3, 1950 in Rugby, ND to Lewis and Clara (Jenssen) Peiler. Terry grew to adulthood on the family farm near Leeds, ND and graduated from the Leeds High School where he was active in Future Farmers of America. He earned a certificate in Auto Body Repair from the North Dakota State School of Science in Wahpeton, ND. Terry worked at a body shop and in manufacturing early in life and later worked for farmers in the neighborhood while becoming more involved in the family farm operations with his father and brother.
Terry was a baptized and confirmed member of the North Prairie Lutheran Church in Leeds, ND. He enjoyed reading, camping and road trips, meeting and making new acquaintances, gardening, baking traditional holiday food, conversations with neighbors and designing and building motorcycle trailers using his welding skills. He was a loving man and filled the role of caregiver of his aging parents.
Terry is survived by his siblings, Charlotte (Paul) Olienyk and Duane (Karla) Peiler; a niece, Elizabeth Brown; nephews, David Olienyk and Craig Olienyk; step-nephews, Matthew Pepple, Luke Pepple and Aaron Hust.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Clara (Jenssen) Peiler.
