On November 19, 2007, Tucker Faul entered the world. From the moment he took his first breath, to every breath after, he was clearly set apart. Tucker made his presence known, but not the usual way a baby does, in the exact opposite. Tucker's Mom jokes that he was the best baby on the planet. He was calm and easily soothed, never fussy or unhappy. In his first two years of life, he hardly ever cried. He was always content and would look around with his big blue eyes and take in everything around him. Tucker also liked to do things at his own pace and time, even as a baby. He did not walk until he was almost two and a half years old. Tucker got everywhere he needed by crawling, nothing slowed him down, he just decided he did not want to walk. When Tucker was just three, not long after he finally started walking, one of his older sisters accidently tripped over him while he was laying on the trampoline. She landed on top of him at such an odd angle that he broke his femur. In true Tucker fashion, he didn't do things the normal way, or half ways, but instead charted his own path. The break in Tucker's leg was so bad and so high up at just the right spot, he ended up having surgery on it and being put in a body cast, from the armpits- down. A three year old in a body cast, let's just say it made the following six months very interesting! His surgeon said that after 40 years of practice and all the broken femurs he worked on, Tucker was his first body cast. During the time frame of the body cast, Tucker grew so much the cast that once had rubbed the skin raw under his arms ended up down by his belly button. Tucker had to use a walker for weeks after he got the cast removed, to re-learn how to walk. Even at a young age, Tucker always seemed to go with the flow, no matter the circumstance. His trademark smile- that he is now known for- was present even back then.
During his elementary and middle school years, Tucker was still a pretty laidback kid. He was very bright in math and loved playing games. He was into football and golf, and he loved being with his friends or outdoors. Tucker loved the holidays. He loved to help his Grandma Kap bake goodies every Christmas and play board games with his cousins. He was busy doing all the things a typical boy would do.
In high school, Tucker became interested in computers. Of course he loved gaming, but he had a good friend who got him into building computers, as well. He was always talking about a part or a piece he would need, and this cord or that cord. His face lit up with excitement when he would tell you about what he was building. These past two years, Tucker really began to find himself and thrive. He got really into weightlifting, health and fitness. He joined track and field as a thrower and he joined the football team as well. In high school Tucker was also a member of FFA and FCCLA. He and his good friend became National Champions when their FCCLA project won first place in the nation. Tucker also worked a couple different jobs throughout his high school years. He was saving money for a new car. He was looking forward to going to UND in the fall and had a plan to major in Business Management. He really wanted to own his own company someday. He had such a bright future ahead of him.
Tucker was a one of a kind, kid. He was smart, caring, kind, and so genuine. His smile and laugh made everyone around him feel seen and loved. He was known for making others laugh, as well as his trademark smile. (Some called it the "Tucker Smirk.") Tucker became the guy who would help others out and be kind, someone others could count on. In turn, he was loved so much by so many. Tucker was very loyal to the people he cared about. He loved laughing and goofing around with his sisters; seeing if he could annoy them was one of his favorite hobbies. It was all in fun, as people would regularly comment on how close Tucker and his sisters were. One special thing about the four of them, they do not fight. On rare occasions they would annoy each other as any siblings do, but they never fought. The four of them had a very special bond that was beautiful to witness. Tucker was always looking out for them. He quickly became Cassie's favorite younger sibling, the one she always checked on and asked about. Phoebe and Tucker were the wild ones together. Those two could laugh and giggle, joke around, and argue good-naturedly for hours. The rest of the family would beg them to be quiet as they were always so loud together. He quickly became Addy's protector, as well as her biggest fan. In every sport event he was at of hers, you could hear his voice cheering her on, along with the rest of her teammates. He was the man of the house and fiercely protected his sisters and his mom. He helped out with anything and everything, and was always the first to say hello and genuinely mean it. His passing has left a gaping hole in the lives of his family and all of those who loved him so fiercely.
Tucker is survived by his mother, Pam; his sisters: Cassie (Wyatt) Jones, Phoebe, Addisyn; His grandpa Dennis Weinmann; His aunt Paula Weinmann; His uncle Steven (Brianna) Weinmann; and cousins Olivia, Gavin, Grayson, and Grady; Multiple extended family members, and a multitude of beloved friends. He was preceded in death by his grandma Kap.
Tucker passed away on October 20, at Sanford Medical Center in Bismarck ND, from traumatic injuries sustained in a tragic car accident. He was extremely loved and cherished, and his memory lives on in all those that knew and loved him. We love you and miss you forever Tucker. May you rest peacefully in heaven until we meet again.
