Victor L. Wolf, 71, of Esmond, ND, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at the home of his daughter Joy and Robbie Perlichek in Burlington, ND after battling cancer for three and a half years. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, February 23, 2013, 10:30 AM at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Esmond with Fr. Brian Bachmeier, celebrant. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Victor was born on April 26, 1941 to John & Katie (Vetter) Wolfe in Esmond, ND. Following graduation from Esmond High School in 1959, he ventured to California and worked at a fertilizer packaging plant for a short time. Upon returning to North Dakota he married MaryElaine Dorscher, the love of his life, on October 17, 1960. They celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary prior to MaryElaine's death in April of 2001. The couple made their home on a farm west of Esmond where they farmed and ranched until Victor's health diminished.
Victor was a member of the St. Boniface Catholic Church in Esmond. He served on the Esmond Township Board, was a member of the Esmond Volunteer Fire Department and Sportsman Club. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Harvey and a Social Member of the Veterans Club in Harvey.
He loved every aspect of farming & ranching, visiting family & friends, going to bingo or the casino and spending time with his "Special Friend" Vi Burgess. He thoroughly enjoyed traveling the past few years, but above all, Victor loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Victor is survived by his children: Joy (Robbie) Perlichek, of Burlington, ND, Sherrell (Jim) Almond, of Minot, ND, Wade Wolf (friend Donna Gray), of Fargo, ND and Shane Wolf (friend Kim Sundquist), of Lincoln, ND; grandchildren: Mike & Jamie Solway, Jeremy (Crystal) Almond, Alyssa (Adam) Cool, Britney, Joe & Faith Almond, Jett Wolf, Chris (Brekka) Perlichek and Casey (Fiancé' Jenna) Perlichek; great-grandchildren: Aliyah Solway, Jaxton & Beckett Cool, Mary Almond and Chaylan Perlichek; his mother, Katie Wolfe of Rugby; siblings: Pat (Janie) Wolfe, Elmer (Bea) Wolfe, Tim (Sandy) Wolfe all of Esmond, Rosella (Mel) Fredenburg of Fargo, Berneice (Dan) Reierson, Shirley (Rick) Brown, both of Minot, and special friend, Vi Burgess, Rugby.

To Victor's famiy, Your dad was such a good man and a great friend to me. I had a lot of good times with your mom and dad and I will never forget them. I know your dad was loved by most everyone he knew and will be greatly missed. Gigi often talked about the great times she and her siblings had at your farm on Sundays. She often told me how much she loved Victor, and how he lived life to its fullest. We will miss him and his zest for life.
